More career opportunities at #cockwells reflect boat show demand for custom-built craft
At the 2022 Southampton International Boat Show and Monaco #yacht Show, Cockwells Modern & Classic Boatbuilding continued to stand out from the crowd and further ramp up its forward order book by achieving yet more new commissions for its exquisite custom-built craft.
At Southampton, the Mylor-based boatbuilder attracted more returning visitors to its stand than ever before. Orders for its popular range of semi-production Duchy Motor Launches were quickly clinched to achieve the highest ever quantity sold by volume as well as by value of sales.
At the Monaco #yacht Show, the company’s classic limousine tenders with their head-turning style and wooden finish – T/T Malahne and the Titian Tender – were the most photographed boats at the Tender Show.
The Titian Tender’s starring role in international fashion brand, Michael Kors’ latest advertising campaign, The Thrill of the Chase, featuring Bella Hadid and Alton Mason, heightened already keen interest from a varied crowd that ranged from GenZ social media influencers to superyacht owners seeking beautiful bespoke tenders to complement their larger vessels.
Cockwells’ 12m Hydrofoil Tender concept, Alte Volare, also proved popular, with its fully electric drivetrain, futuristic #design and energy efficiency – the first of its kind for the company.
“With a full order book until the end of 2024, we are now looking for more staff to join our growing team, from engineers to boatbuilders, from trainees to management level,” explains Founder & Managing Director, Dave Cockwell. “Despite the economic challenges and political uncertainties of our times, our industry remains buoyant. #cockwells is thriving and there is no better time to join us.”
